Portable ABI Kit

An Ankle Brachial Index (ABI) is one of the most simple to perform and useful vascular tests for assessing peripheral vascular disease. Hokanson has developed the Portable ABI Kit to give you the basic equipment you'll need to perform a complete and accurate ABI. To see or download the educational video "How to Perform an ABI" click here.

PAD rates will surge to 21M, costing U.S. billions   Click to see article on estimated rise in PAD by 2020 and cost for healthcare in US.

The Portable ABI Kit includes:
  • The MD6 Doppler (a continuous wave vascular Doppler) for detecting peripheral bloodflow in the ankle and/or arm.
  • The MD6VR Chart Recorder in order to print real-time Doppler waveforms from the MD6 Doppler.
  • Four straight segmental blood pressure cuffs for measurements in each arm and ankle.
  • DS400 Aneroid Sphygmomanometer used to inflate and deflate the vascular blood pressure cuffs.
  • MD6 Carrying Case for easy storage and transport of the Portable ABI Kit.
